KAU Cleaning Services - Service Guidelines & Policies

At KAU Cleaning Services, we are dedicated to providing outstanding cleaning. To ensure the safety of our team and the quality of our service, please be aware of the following guidelines:

  • Respectful Environment: We reserve the right to stop service immediately if our staff experiences racism, sexism, or any form of disrespect.

  • Staff Safety First: For the well-being of our team, they are unable to:

    • Use ladders exceeding three steps.

    • Move heavy furniture requiring more than one person.

    • Clean biohazardous materials (e.g., animal/human waste), insect infestations, or significant mold.

    • Perform any tasks that could jeopardize their health or safety.

  • Pet Responsibility: While we are careful around your pets, you are responsible for their safety and well-being during our service.

  • Damage & Breakage Policy: We are insured for damages caused by our team. However, we are not responsible for:

    • "Normal wear and tear" or damage due to improper installation.

    • Valuable items (artwork, collectibles, heirlooms) over $200 not disclosed in writing beforehand.

    • Report any damage within 24 hours of cleaning for us to address it. Examples of items often subject to wear or special care include carpet snags, aged/weakened blinds, and delicate woodwork.

  • Utility Access: We require access to working electricity and water to perform our services. If unavailable, we'll need to reschedule.

  • Challenging Conditions: For homes with excessive clutter, broken glass, or hoarding conditions, we will discuss expectations for the final outcome. Before-and-after photos (without identifiable information) may be taken for planning and internal use, potentially shared on social media.

  • Cancellations & Rescheduling: A 48-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a $100 fee. This fee may be waived if we can fill the slot or for a valid, pre-approved reason.

  • Staff Recruitment: Please do not directly hire any KAU Cleaning Services staff members. We invest significantly in our team's recruitment and training. A referral/training fee of $5,000 per individual applies if direct hiring occurs.

  • Limitation of Liability & Warranty: Your use of our cleaning services is at your own risk. KAU Cleaning Services provides services "as is" and "as available" and does not guarantee specific results or assume responsibility for any losses or damages beyond our stated insurance coverage. You agree to protect and indemnify KAU Cleaning Services against claims related to your use of our services or alleged property damage.
